Is free e-signing legally binding?
Yes. Agreements signed with email + one-time code are binding under eIDAS and Swedish contract law. Tidvis Sign seals every document with a cryptographic hash and a complete audit trail of IP, time and email.
What does it cost after the first 3 free signings?
Sign Pro costs 199 SEK per seat per month and gives unlimited e-signings.
Does the recipient need an account?
No. The recipient receives an email link, opens the document directly in the browser and signs – no app, no account, no password required.
How does OTP (email + one-time code) work?
The recipient gets a personal link to their email and enters a one-time code to open and sign the document. It counts as a simple electronic signature (SES) under eIDAS and is sufficient for most agreements. If you need an advanced electronic signature (AES), Swedish BankID is available as an add-on on Sign Pro.
Which file types are supported?
PDF is the standard format for e-signing. Word files can be exported to PDF before upload.
Is free e-signing secure?
Yes. All traffic is encrypted (TLS 1.3), documents are stored encrypted in the EU, and every signed document gets a cryptographic seal that makes tampering detectable.
